Alien Birthday Boy Card

Gingerbread Men and Aliens

Hi All

Just thought I would put this one on the blog today - I made it originally for Jacob's Birthday and he loved it - so I did it again with the class, I have also used this design with the Gingerbread Men for Christmas, which I have added below - a fairly versatile design, anyone who has seen Monsters Inc will recognise the colour scheme for our alien friends.  Both sets of stamps come from Francoise Read collection at Woodware and they are both coloured with Copic pens, all available from The Paper Warehouse.

Xmas 2016

Happy Christmas

Hi All

I hope you have had a fantastic Christmas.   I want to thank everyone who sent me some fab Christmas cards (handmade of course), I loved seeing your work.  I have put some crafty inspiration on the blog for you today, just a few cards and a tag made for you to have a look at, I hope you like them.  The tag is from the Snowmen set in the Francoise Collection by Woodware from last year but I just love it.
Jolly Snowman Christmas Tag
So true! - I hope you all had your helping of sprouts this year!
I have decided I am making my tags next year - I bought them this year and they were rubbish - so I am starting early.

Jolly Snowman Christmas Card
I made a version of this card for our Christmas cards this year - just love him!  All from the Snowman Post collection and associated postal elements from this year's Woodware collection.

Green Elf Christmas Card
We made this one in class at The Paper Warehouse - takes a while to cut out and colour but he's worth it.

Christmas Tree Christmas Card
This must be the quickest Christmas card to make ever! White card blank, strip of co-ordinating card from my Papermill Direct stash,  available at The Paper Warehouse. The tree stamps and sentiments from the same set from Woodware as below, Kaledacolour ink in Caribbean Sea and a pearl string from Woodware, honestly 5 mins and its finished, where as the one below - using the same ingredients plus a bit of ribbon and embellishment takes soooo much longer - nice though, I hope you agree.

Christmas Tree Christmas Card
This tree set of stamps is so versatile you get everything in the set, both sentiments, all manner of trees and they are so versatile.

Snowman Christmas Card
I really love this snowman family card, the original stamp has the six snowmen on the front of the card, then I stamped them again and cut out the three who can be free standing and placed them in the background steps of the stepper card.  with the brayered and embossed background.  The heavy acetate cover has been sprinkled with Stampendous Chunky White embossing powder and heated from below. The sentiments this time are from Jane Gill's collection for Woodware - I just love the combination - this card takes a while (the arms are a bit fiddly to cut out, but they stick back on well if they fall off) but is good fun to do and its worth it for special people.
All ingredients from The Paper Warehouse

I hope you have all had a peaceful and happy Christmas, and are having some time to craft too.

Keep watching - see you soon
